High-quality invisible car covers not only prevent scratches and rubs, but also brighten the paint surface and can heal scratches by itself, prevent corrosion and pollution. How to distinguish the quality of invisible car covers? You must fully understand the structure of the car cover to make a more objective judgment and choice.

 


1. Coating
The technological power of the invisible car cover structure is the first line of defense to protect the car paint. It is located on the outermost side of the film and is in direct contact with the outside world. Its function is to prevent the penetration and erosion of foreign pollutants, and to provide good scratch automatic repair function and better bright gloss.

Types From the perspective of car cover technology and function, coatings can be divided into two categories:
[Technical coating:] ① Sparse coating: In fact, it is the early coating technology of invisible car cover, which provides simple protection effect, but it is easy to fall off, stain, and lose gloss.

② Dense coating: The mainstream coating technology of high-end invisible car cover currently focuses on enhancing the anti-fouling ability, and is accompanied by good hydrophobic properties, so that the problems of easy corrosion, dust absorption, and staining of traditional car cover are effectively improved.
[Functional coating:] ① Second repair coating: Scratches can disappear automatically in a short time at room temperature, but because the coating molecules are in an active state for a long time and the activity is lost quickly, the repair effect of the coating cannot be maintained for a long time. When the coating molecules lose their activity, the beauty of the car cover will be seriously affected.
② Thermal repair coating: Heating is required to achieve the scratch repair effect. At room temperature, the molecular activity is low and the fluidity is not strong. As the temperature rises, the molecular activity increases, achieving the effect of accelerating self-healing. The molecules of the thermal repair coating are active only when they are heated, and can maintain the molecular activity for a long time, and maintain the scratch repair ability of the car cover for a long time.

 

2. Substrate
The main part of the invisible car cover structure is located between the coating and the glue layer, providing good light transmittance and toughness. It is a solid barrier to prevent the car paint from being scratched and damaged and maintain the original color of the paint.
Types We have already talked about it in the last issue. The main popular car cover material on the market is TPU, and TPU is divided into aromatic and aliphatic:
① Aromatic TPU: Yellowing of aromatic TPU is its inevitable characteristic. The reason is that ultraviolet rays cause some of its structures to undergo an unchangeable change, resulting in a color-rendering group, and the color changes from transparent to yellow. The degree of yellowing can eventually reach 40%-50%.
② Aliphatic TPU: It can be understood as a variant of aromatic TPU. The difference between the two is that the yellowing structure of the latter is removed, so that it can maintain its original transparency under the influence of long-term ultraviolet rays, and its final yellowing degree generally does not exceed 10%. 3 Glue layer The auxiliary part of the invisible car cover structure is to make the car cover and the paint fit closely, affecting the service life of the car cover and the safety of the car paint.

 

3.The influence of good and bad glue
① Poor quality glue: The viscosity is unstable, the glue is easy to fall off during installation, and it is easy to leave offset marks on the car paint. It is easy to debond, delaminate, and bubble after long-term use. The residual glue during tearing may also penetrate into the inside of the car paint, and even the car paint is easy to be taken off when the film is torn off.

② High-quality glue: The viscosity is low during installation, and it can be adjusted repeatedly without leaving traces. After the water evaporates, it has the characteristics of high stickiness, so that the car paint and the car cover fit closely without falling off. And when tearing off the film, it is more convenient to tear off, and no residual glue will be formed on the surface of the car paint, making the car paint safer.
